Assessment is important, especially when it comes to selecting, (re)locating and developing employees. We use a variable assessment-tool that has been adjusted to your research question in order to provide objective, well-founded and independent advice. This advice will be open, honest, and confronting, but respectful towards the candidate. These ingredients give Smart HRD’s assessments their value towards both the client, and the candidate.

Our approach

The (selection-) criteria and the aspects and instruments of the assessment are determined during a meeting with the client. We also determine which type of assessment fits best; we have multiple and diverse possibilities ranging from e-assessments to 360-feedback and from abbreviated to full-day assessments.

An assessment consists of multiple components, depending on its type. They include capacity tests, practical simulations, and research into the candidate’s personality, motivation, and interests.

Apart from researching whether or not an employee is qualified for a certain position, we provide a wide range of the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses. In doing so, candidates get to know themselves better and the client’s research question will be answered through a clear, written report which will provide an insight into the candidate. This will create the possibility for both parties to further develop the person that undertook the assessment.

Punctuality, aside from quality, is another important aspect of our organization. We are determined to plan the assessment as fast as possible (ultimately 5-7 workdays). The feedback will be presented extensively to the client by phone a day after the assessment, and the report will be sent a few days later.
